Tell us a bit about you and your business.
My name’s Jindy and I coach leaders.
After spending eighteen years working for businesses, startups and companies such as Deloitte, HSBC and ExxonMobil, I decided to start a coaching business in 2020 named The Selfish Leader.
The Selfish Leader is aimed towards business leaders and anyone else who wants to make a change in their life. I believe that everyone is a leader, but to lead, we need to work on ourselves first so I help leaders incorporate intuition and emotional intelligence into everything they do.
With The Selfish Leader, I’m looking to work with people who want to make a positive impact, not just to their own life but to others too. I believe that by being self-aware, we can make better decisions and live a more authentic life.
What’s your biggest business achievement so far?
I’ve recently started a training programme with a global tech company. What I’m particularly proud of is that through networking, I was able to land this client.
I’m excited about this project because it’s directly related to my purpose. My objective is to create leaders with more humanity. This resonated with this organisation, and for them to procure me is a sense of validation that what I’m doing is valuable to myself and others too.
How was Rocket Lawyer able to help you?
I’ve come across Rocket Lawyer before, but, for The Selfish Leader, I needed some website documents such as terms and conditions and privacy policies. I was looking for something quick and simple.
Rocket Lawyer came up on an online search and I found the entire process dead easy. In fact, it couldn’t have been simpler!
What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned since you’ve started your own business?
Perhaps the biggest lesson I’ve learned since starting my own business is the importance of being generous to others. You should do things without expecting anything back. It’s just a good way to do business.
Be generous to other people. Do things without expecting anything back. That’s just a good way to be in business.
What are your plans for the future?
Like most businesses, I’d like to grow The Selfish Leader through more training programmes and more coaching clients. Currently, I’m running a men’s group to help men have braver conversations.
Further down the line though there’s lots more to do! I want to impact 1 million people by the time I leave this planet. It’s ambitious but I definitely want to.
