The safest way to serve the Pay Rise Request Letter is to deliver it in person or, failing this, to send it by courier, post or email.

  • In person: hand the Letter to the recipient personally.

  • Post: if you are posting the Letter, it is recommended that you use recorded delivery and that you keep a copy of the proof of posting and delivery.

  • Email: request a ‘read receipt’ as proof of delivery.

Keep a copy of your Pay Rise Request Letter

If you post or hand deliver the Letter, keep a copy of the signed Letter that was sent along with anything else you included with it. If you email the Letter, keep a copy of the email that was sent and any attachments together with any ‘read receipts’.
