How can Rocket Legal+ help you rent out, manage, and protect your rental property?
With any Rocket Lawyer membership, you’ll get unlimited access to our library of 200+ easy to create legal documents.
Use these to make the legal contract that starts a tenancy and clearly sets out your and your tenant’s rights and responsibilities. We’ve got the Tenancy Agreement or Lodger Agreement you need: whether you’re renting out a whole property, separate rooms to students or sharers, or a room in your own home; in England, Scotland, or Wales.
You’ll also have access to the guidance and documents that help you start a tenancy compliantly and transparently, such as:
an Inventory, to record the property’s fixtures and fittings and their condition when the tenant moves in
an Initial Holding Deposit Form, to help you comply with the law on holding deposits and tenancy deposits
guidance on documents that landlords must provide to tenants at the start of a tenancy and the standards they must meet
Rocket Lawyer members can be confident in all of the legal documents you make, including important Tenancy Agreements. You can have a Legal Pro review a document you’ve made for FREE*.
If you’ve got any legal questions you need answered, Rocket Lawyer members can Ask a lawyer for help.
Renting out your property via a property company can help to reduce your costs and increase the revenue you make from rent.
If you’re letting quite a few properties, transferring their ownership to your own private limited company then renting the properties to tenants via the company could save you money. The company will pay corporation tax on its income, which could be due at a lower rate than the income tax you’d need to pay on the rental income you make as an individual. You may also save on taxes when selling properties to other companies and benefit from tax relief in relation to mortgage payments.
