Tell me about your goals, and I'll build the growth strategy to deliver them! 

I’m a fractional growth strategist, which means I am a consultant who operates as part of a business' leadership team to research and design its Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies. 

I approach consulting pragmatically. I don't write proposals. Instead, I use the time saved to offer a business a first workshop free of charge. This shows us how we can work together and can prove whether I am the right fit for the problem, the opportunity, and the team's culture. I then help the business to implement a strategy by engaging with its delivery teams to optimise processes and support business growth. 

My common clients are generally B2B SaaS (ie ‘software as a service’ businesses that sell from business-to-business) and tech scaleups (ie established and profitable businesses that grow over 20% in turnover or employees within 3 years) in the UK. Businesses I have worked with function in the automotive, e-commerce, education, and construction sectors. 

How did you get where you are?

I have been self-employed and a fractional contractor since 2014. During my career, I’ve acquired board-level leadership experience and data driven strategy skills, spanning both B2B and B2C contexts. Bringing these skills and experiences to my work has enabled me to help scaleups grow and to positively transform ‘stressed’ businesses.

What is your biggest business achievement so far?

Helping scaleups create GTM road maps and forecasts for the first 3 years of their desired growth, which has helped them to secure more than £1M in investment.

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned since starting your business?

Never, ever work without a contract and clarity agreed first! I’m not just saying that to be a crowd pleaser - a contract agreed by both sides removes all ambiguity, ensures everyone understands the fee model and expectations, and all legal aspects are covered. As a sole trader, following this golden rule ensures that I don’t get messed around by larger entities. For example, it ensures that if a business I’m working with  breaches payment terms, this has consequences for them.
