- Provide a broad set of practice area expertise
- Have a transparent and predictable billing model
- Be accessible via phone or email for ease of communication
- Pass a Rocket Lawyer training orientation so they are familiar with Rocket Lawyer members' experiences and issues
2. A quick connection
In the event you need a lawyer's help, we'll connect you to an On Call lawyer within one business day.
Just answer a few basic questions about your legal issue and you'll be assigned your own personal representative from Rocket Lawyer. Your personal representative will call you directly to help make a connection to one of the nationwide network of On Call lawyers—often that same day.
As a Rocket Lawyer member, you'll get free consultations or document reviews with On Call lawyers. In case you need additional representation, your personal representative will also tell you your lawyer's hourly rate up front and show you your lawyer's Rocket Lawyer public profile, so you'll know what to expect.
Your personal representative is also a great resource for answering any questions about the On Call program or your other Rocket Lawyer benefits. They'll do everything they can to help you get the assistance you need.
3. A free phone consultation
You will get connected to an On Call lawyer over the phone. Once you are connected, he or she will ask you some follow up questions about your legal matter and advise you on what next steps you may need to take. You should feel free to ask your lawyer questions about upcoming legal issues or even documents that you've completed on Rocket Lawyer.
You should take this opportunity to share the documents you have questions about with your On Call lawyer. You can do this directly from your Rocket Lawyer account. In fact, if there's additional information you'd like your lawyer to see you can share your entire account with him or her, making it simple to collaborate all online.
4. Fair prices. No hidden costs.
Your initial consultation and document reviews are all included in your Legal Plan at no extra cost. Legal matters are often fairly complex and require additional research, review, appearances or writing. If you and your On Call lawyer agree that additional work is needed in order to complete your document or handle a complex legal issue, you will get a pre-negotiated hourly rate—40% off* of the On Call lawyer's standard fees.
Your On Call lawyer will have you complete an attorney engagement letter that outlines the work you will receive and clearly states any additional costs that may be involved. If you have any questions about this process, never hesitate to ask your lawyer or your personal representative.
5. Ongoing service
A few days after you connect with your On Call lawyer your personal representative will follow up to make sure that everything went well. If you need additional assistance, want to connect with a new attorney, or have any other questions about our services don't hesitate to ask - we're here to help.
